"This is an inductive study of God's Word to become as thoroughly familiar with the material as possible.  There is no substitute for repeated readings of the text.  The more you read it, the better; so every chance you get read Matthew 5-7.  If you are alone, read it aloud.  You may find yourself automatically memorizing it. 

Start with prayer.  Truth is revealed.  Unless the Spirit of God gives you understanding, all you have is information.  Therefore, develop the habit of beginning each day's study with prayer.  Confess your utter poverty before God; ask Him to open the eyes of your understanding and to sanctify you through the truth.  His Word is truth (John 17:17)." Excerpt from the first lesson.
